VAT deregistration and VAT groups go online in the FTA portal from 9 November
From 9 November 2026, companies can deregister from VAT and create or edit VAT groups in the FTA portal.
On 3 November 2026, the Federal Tax Administration (FTA) announced that from 9 November 2026, three new functions will be available in the FTA portal under «New business». Taxable persons can deregister from VAT there, create a new VAT group and edit an existing VAT group.
According to the FTA, the new processes are clearly structured and are meant to reduce the administrative burden for companies.
