Lightspeed: AI assistant to prepare tasks in the shop itself
The POS provider is testing new AI features that suggest orders, stock transfers and clearance sales.
Lightspeed has expanded its «Lightspeed AI» assistant. Instead of only analysing figures, it is meant to prepare concrete work: updating product details, creating supplier orders, moving goods between branches or marking slow sellers for clearance.
Important: nothing is carried out without approval. The assistant first shows a preview, and every action is logged. For now, the features are a voluntary beta for selected customers; a wider rollout has been announced.
