TWINT to launch a digital direct debit for recurring bills in 2027

Customers will be able to set up recurring bills as a standing order directly in the TWINT app. There is no exact launch date yet.

According to a «Bilanz» report of 18 August 2026, TWINT will launch a digital direct debit in 2027. The biller sends an invitation via link or QR code. The customer uses it to set up a standing order in the app, gets a push notification a few days before the due date, and the amount is debited automatically on the due date. Objections are possible within 30 days.

TWINT is responding to the end of the classic LSV+ scheme in September 2028. The offer is a direct alternative to SIX's eBill. TWINT gives subscriptions, club fees and health insurance premiums as examples.
